After 8 years between in house and agency roles managing performance driven paid media campaigns, not only was Tom ready for a change, but there was a void he observed with digital marketing agencies over the years he believed he could fill. Between California, Boston, and ending up in Orlando Tom's experience was divided over a variety of companies and split between agency and in house roles. There were two primary gaps he set out to fill: companies that didn't want to work with agencies because the relationship felt too distant and companies that worked with agencies, but the results left something to be desired. In the Spring of 2014 Tom started Relay Paid Media.
Tom and his wife Carling have two amazing girls Hailey, 3 and Hannah 1. Tom and Carling spent much of the beginning years of their marriage traveling and golfing together, but since having the two kids golf has taken a back seat (temporarily). In his off time, Tom and his family are typically found swimming, walking their two German Shepherds, or at one of the many theme parks Orlando has to offer.
Bethany was exposed to the world of digital marketing during her last semester of college with an internship at a social media influencer marketing company. After graduating from the University of Central Florida in December 2015, Bethany took her first full time role as a digital marketing specialist at Relay Paid Media. After learning the basics in paid search and social marketing, Bethany stepped up and grew the paid social department at Relay to not only expand their client base and offerings, but drive performance. She has become an expert in Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin and Twitter advertising. In her second year as the company grew, Bethany was promoted from Paid Social Manager to Director of Digital Marketing at Relay Paid Media where she assists the owner in client management, strategy and overseeing the digital team while maintaining the lead on social clients.
Although seemingly shy Bethany can be found regularly at Saks Comedy Club performing and practicing improv.
Olivia is one of our Paid Search Specialists who recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. She was initially exposed to the world of digital marketing through a social media internship she took part in throughout her junior and senior year of college. Olivia came on to Relay just a couple months before graduating as a part time employee and started full time after graduation. Olivia works on a variety of Relay's paid search accounts managing much of the day to day operations and is also our primary paid search ad copy writer.
On the weekends, Olivia can be found at any Hilton owned hotel pretending she still works there in order to take advantage of the employee discount…at least until someone from the Hilton reads this and it all comes to an end.
Our newest member to the team, Austin, came on as a part time paid social specialist and reports primarily to our Director Of Digital Marketing who leads our paid social division. He primarily assists with social reporting and launching new campaigns and ads on Facebook and Linkedin. Austin just finished up his second year of college at the University Of Central Florida majoring in IT.
Austin can be found sitting in the office with Olivia and Bethany in complete silence, that is unless Kevin or Tom are there.
On the weekends Austin can be found playing guitar on stage with the worship team at The Action Church in Oviedo.
With a background in design, development and video production Kevin is half paid search specialist and half just about everything else that comes our way. His days can be filled with anything from keyword research and campaign implementation, to landing page designing and setting up partner tracking pixels. He bucks the office PC trend using an Apple laptop so things take him a bit longer and if you ever open up an excel file that looks extremely zoomed in, it came from him. In between all that you can find him breaking awkward silences with potentially inappropriate office chit chat.
At the end of the day Kevin leaves the office is his pride driven lifted Toyota Tundra to his wife Shelby and his 1 year old son Brody.
